Mason-Dixon Volunteers Become Paid Employees

The Harford Center is pleased to announce that our volunteers at Mason-Dixon Community Services have become paid employees.

The Harford Center and Mason-Dixon have teamed up with The Harford County Department of Community Services to address the “food desert” in northern Harford County. Our volunteers started off working as a “mobile food pantry,” delivering produce and other healthy food options to county residents who lacked transportation or did not drive due to age or disability. Along the way, they learned valuable job skills; they are now paid to deliver nutritious meals to at-risk individuals. We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments.

Deliveries are made every two weeks in Street, Whiteford, White Hall, Jarrettsville, Forest Hill, Darlington, Dublin and northern Havre de Grace. To learn more about the mobile food pantry, or to apply for services, contact Ms. Dietrich at 410-452-9025 or via email tdietrich@mason-dixon.org.
