The Harford Center’s Inclement Weather Policy
Closings and Delays:
The Harford Center will announce all closings and delays on the WBAL website (http://www.wbaltv.com/weather/closings). Please note the information will also be posted on WBAL radio and TV stations.
Alerts:
You can sign up for alerts to be emailed or texted to you on the WBAL website. Go to alerts, enter your email, and select the Harford Center. Closing and delay alerts will be sent directly to YOU!!
Code Yellow:
Additionally, there may be occasions when the Harford Center (Havre De Grace Site) is open, and the Highland Center (Street location) is closed. Due to the location of the Highland Center, the North end of Harford County tends to be more difficult in terms of road conditions. If the Highland Center is closed, a code YELLOW will be posted on the WBAL website. If there is a code YELLOW, the Harford Center will not be providing transportation to the Highland Center or to the North end of Harford County. However, a code YELLOW indicates that the Harford Center (Havre De Grace) is open and individuals may report there if they have transportation. On Code Yellow Days, all Highland Center individuals will go to the Harford Center. If you have a question about whether your residence is in the North zone, please see attached map or call the transportation department for clarification.
