We continue to require masks and highly encourage staff and participants to be vaccinated. We have over an 80% vaccination rate for both staff and participants. However, we are ever-vigilant as this pandemic seems to change course as quickly as we are able to respond to it. I appreciate everyone’s support and patience. Like the rest of the Nation, we are struggling with an unprecedented labor shortage. We are down 33% of our work force. Our staff are tired but committed! We celebrated Direct Support Professional’s Week in September and were able to give staff an increase to their hourly pay as a small token of appreciation for all they have endured. Without hesitation, I can say that the Harford Center staff are the best of the best. Thank you all for your continued belief in our mission, support of our staff, and adherence to our safety protocols. Now is the time to pull together as a community to encourage and care for one another. This time of change will come to an end, but until then, please know that the Harford Center will continue to assess all available information and make decisions to keep all members of the Harford Center family safe.
