Tim Battaglia
Tim is the second of six sons born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1973 he started working for the family-owned Metro Parts Company where he went from delivery driver to store manager to eventually becoming the VP of Finance after earning his AA in Accounting from CCBC. After 25 years in the auto parts industry, Tim moved on to become the Assistant Controller for the Maryland and Virginia regions of Omnicare, Inc., a nationwide, long-term care pharmacy corporation servicing nursing homes and hospitals. In 2013, he was asked to transfer to Omnicare’s home office in Cincinnati, OH. However, since Tim is not a Reds fan, he declined. In 2014, Tim joined The Harford Center where he continues to serve as their CFO.
Tim has been married to his wife, Ann, since 1975. They moved to Harford County in 1979 where they raised four children and now have seven grandchildren. Tim’s youngest daughter has developmental disabilities and receives residential and day support at Penn-Mar Human Services. Working at the Harford Center and raising a child with disabilities, Tim is able offer the perspective from both an employee of a human services agency and a parent.
Outside of work Tim’s passion is baseball. He bleeds black and orange for the Orioles. He has played, coached, and umpired youth baseball most of his life. He had the honor of umpiring the Cal Ripken World Series in 2006, 2007, & 2010. Tim is also a board member of the Hickory / Fountain Green Recreation Council, serving as their Treasurer for over 30 years.
