Sherry Nolte

Ms. Nolte brings over three decades of experience in Human Services, specializing in working with children, youth, and adults. She earned her undergraduate degree from Towson State (now Towson University) and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland. As a licensed-clinical social worker, she began her career overseeing foster care programs in Maryland’s child welfare system. Since joining the Harford Center in 2013, Ms. Nolte has demonstrated expertise in program development, regulatory compliance, and financial management. Her dedication to quality programs and data-driven evaluation is evident throughout her tenure.

Throughout her extensive career, Ms. Nolte has pioneered numerous innovative programs benefiting Maryland’s youth and adults. She is a passionate advocate for empowerment and education within the Harford Center community. Her involvement extends beyond direct service, as she actively participates in organizations like the Harford County Trauma Institute and the Cherish the Child Symposium. She also volunteers for Harford County’s Grant-in-Aid review committee and is a graduate of both the Harford County Leadership Academy and The National Leadership Institute on Developmental Disabilities. Additionally, Ms. Nolte shares her expertise as an adjunct faculty member in Salisbury University’s Department of Social Work.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Ms. Nolte was named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by the Daily Record in 2024. Her personal and professional values align closely with the mission of the Harford Center, emphasizing respect and dignity for all individuals served.
