Laura Weinstein

Laura is a dedicated servant leader whose career with non-profit organizations spans 2 decades.  Laura graduated with a BA degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland in 2005.  Her career in advocacy began at Heartly House, Inc. in Frederick MD where she worked as a Crisis Worker, providing support and education to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. 

In 2006, Laura began working at Service Coordination, Inc. in Harford County, providing case management to people with differing abilities and working her way up to Supervisor and Program Manager.  During her extensive tenure in supervisory roles, Laura developed skills in program management and development, strategic planning and leadership development. Laura transitioned into the role of Chief Development Officer at The Harford Center in 2023, where she combines her passion for building communities through relationships and her skills in effective communication, collaboration, and leading a successful team.      

Laura has a passion for helping people to advocate for themselves and understanding self-determination.  She believes that building relationships and empowering others to lead is essential to the success of an organization. 

Laura is a recent graduate of Harford Leadership Academy, where she joined an elite group of leaders committed to serving their community.
