Kim Albert, LCSW-C

Kim is a highly skilled and compassionate leader with a deep commitment to improving the lives of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Kim has dedicated her career to providing high-quality, trauma-informed services to individuals and families facing complex challenges.

As a Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C), Kim possesses a comprehensive understanding of behavioral supports, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong ability to design and implement programs that address the unique needs of vulnerable populations.  Her expertise extends to working in multidisciplinary teams, navigating complex care models, and advocating for improved services for people dually diagnosed with IDD and mental health conditions.

Kim earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. These educational foundations, combined with years of hands-on experience, have equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead in a complex and ever-evolving field.

In their current role as Chief Program Officer, Kim leads innovative programs that empower people with IDD, ensuring they receive the personalized support they need to thrive. A strong advocate for self-determination, Kim believes that every individual has the right to direct their own life, make decisions, and live with dignity and independence. She is a passionate advocate for creating systems and programs that support these values.
