Gillian Miller

Gillian Miller has been an advocate for adults with differing abilities for over 20 years. As a program supervisor at The Harford Center Gillian provides supervision, oversight and guidance to staff and individuals supported. She is the recipient of the 2023 CHOSEN Women Leadership Award. Gillian has excitedly observed the positive changes in the disabilities field from the days of Rosewood to independent living. She is passionate about providing dignity, safety, and stability for individuals with disabilities to affect positive change. In addition to her work in the disability community, Gillian also served as Chief of Staff to Harford County Delegate Andre Johnson. She is a mother to 5 girls, a grandmother to 3 boys and 1 granddaughter. Her family also includes her dog Polo, snake, Althea and turtle, Max. Gillian was born in Kingston, Jamaica and came to The United States at the age of 8, migrating to the Bronx NY. She has been a resident of Harford County since 2000. Gillian loves to dance and sing (even if she doesn’t do it well!).
