Randy Geyer has been working for the Harford County Public School system for 26 years. He is originally from Pennsylvania and relocated to Maryland after graduating college from Slippery Rock University in 1997. Mr. Geyer began his professional career as a special education teacher at Magnolia Middle School where he taught sixth grade for 10 years. After his tenth year, Mr. Geyer was promoted to assistant principal and remained at Magnolia Middle School serving in this capacity for an additional two years.
In 2009, he was transferred to Edgewood Middle School functioning as the assistant principal supporting all students with disabilities. Upon the completion of his second year at Edgewood Middle School, Mr. Geyer was transferred to Bel Air Middle School and served as the 8th grade assistant principal until 2014.
In July of 2014, Mr. Geyer was transferred to Harford Academy (formerly known as John Archer School). After his second year, he was named the principal and has proudly served in this capacity since 2014. For those of you who may not know, Harford Academy is identified as a “public separate day school” educating students with severe and profound disabilities ages 3-21.
His wide Jodi is an accountant and they are the proud parents of two sons, Thomas and Jack. Thomas recently finished his freshman year at Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA, and Jack will be a junior at C Milton Wright High School for the 2023-24 school year.
