One to One Support Staff

Position Title: One to One Community Coach

Reports To: Program Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Date: September 2017

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and schedules individual’s day based on their interests and goals
  • Provide constant monitoring of the individual with line of sight at all times
  • Helps individual achieve desired outcomes from community and pre-vocational activities
  • Maintains data sheets as needed
  • Acts as advocate for all individuals that we serve
  • Supports individual to develop appropriate objectives and outcomes.
  • Develops, implements and documents progress to help the individuals reach their goals
  • Work with the individual to find and help him/her use community-based resources to achieve personal outcomes.
  • Ensures the individual’s personal needs are met with dignity and respect
  • Promote health & safety for all individuals served in all settings and activities
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned


  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Current Driver’s License with 3 pts or less
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Previous experience in a service provision to people with disabilities or physical challenges preferred
  • Ability to monitor participant progress, make recommendations and report accordingly
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Possesses a positive attitude with a professional presentation and works in a team environment
  • Current CPR and Basic First Aid certification; strongly preferred; however continued employment is contingent upon it being obtained within three weeks of employment
  • Functions independently 90% of the time
  • Willingness to use personal vehicle / as needed
  • Assumes all other job related duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designee




Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years’ experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Current CPR and First-Aid Certification strongly preferred; however, continued employment is contingent upon it being obtained within 90 days
